The Pains of Making Bruno
by Gossip on Jul.02, 2009, under Gossip

Bruno is not your ordinary comedy movie. It’s more of a reality-comedy movie.
Bruno the movie has lots of scenes shot in real life. This means that the production, director, and even Bruno himself immersed into the crowd in a real event. It’s nothing like a staged thing like what is usually done for movies.
One example – the Milan Fashion Show.
The scene showing Bruno on the stage of the Milan Fashion Week is real. The crew sought all credentials to gain entrance to the event. Then Cohen went backstage and slipped into his Bruno attire and went straight into the runway. The result? The security personnel took the actor to the police, who in turn, handcuffed him and sent him to jail.
There were other real-life scenario in the film, such as the Israeli mob, the hotel room chase, and the fight night kiss.
If you were in to reality TV, Bruno is definitely worth watching.
